System Updates
Cint is consolidating our systems to efficiently and productively manage our products. The goal is to simplify systems, improve features/performance and properly allocate resources to prepare for new and upcoming things at Cint.
This article includes the changes a YourSurveys supplier (API and Router Integrations) should expect following the upcoming YourSurveys system updates. Please review all changes to determine what updates to your system may be required.
May Require Action
Changes that may require supplier action include the following:
API
Change | Action | |
---|---|---|
Basic API requests require Country parameter | Include the country parameter on all Basic API calls. | |
User_account_status and quality_score_status deprecation | These response found in the performance API call will no longer be passed back on the API after the migration. | |
Exchange_Type Deprecation | Exchange_Type will not longer be supported. to identify different exchange types, please refer to the API Response:"is_pmp" This will return a true or false value. True = PMP, False = OX |
Project ID
Change | Action |
---|---|
Target Groups ID values replace Project ID values | Update your system to capture c_target_group_id from the API, if not doing so already. Maintain a mapping of project IDs to the target group IDs. Following the cutover, 'Project_ID' Parameter will still be available but the value will be updated. |
Redirects and Callbacks
Change | Action |
---|---|
%signature_MD5% parameter deprecation | The %signature_MD5% parameter value will pass a null instead of a hash. To ensure your redirect and callbacks remain secured with a hash, prior to the cutover, update your system to accept a SHA256 hash and replace the %signature_MD5% parameter with the %signature_hmac_sha% parameter on your redirect and callback templates. |
Deprecation of some Redirect and Callback Parameters | The following redirect and callback parameters will be deprecated. Following the cutover the parameters will begin to pass the static values shown below. If you would like to remove these parameters from redirects and callbacks, you can do so through the supplier portal. • %transaction_id% =0000000000• %ip% =000.000.00.000• %transaction_datetimeiso% =0000-00-00• %transaction_timestamp% =0000000000• %termed_profiler_id% =none• %cobra_status% =none• %entry_project_id%= redirects will only pass the project ID of the survey the user attempted. If using both %entry_project_ID% and %last_project_id%, these values will be the same.• send profilers on redirect |
Deprecation of some Status Code values | Some previously used status codes will be deprecated and suppliers should no longer expect to see the deprecated values passed on redirects or callbacks. |
Updated Names and Definitions of some Status Code values | The names and definitions of some statuses will change. The recommended action for any given code will not change. To view the updated names and definitions, see Status Codes V2 |
No Action Required
Changes are not expected to require supplier action.
Functionality | Change |
---|---|
Audible | The feature that overrides initial survey selection by suppliers will be deprecated while Internal and external routing will still be supported. A user will be sent to the targeted survey that the supplier initially chose. If the user does not qualify for that targeted survey, the user can still be routed through internal and external routing within the same session to increase chances of completion. |
New IP Addresses for Callbacks | Callbacks will be seen from new IP addresses. Cint does not have a list of static list at this moment |
Deprecation of Tentative Redirect/Callback | The 'tentative' redirect/callback will no longer be triggered. All completes will trigger a 'complete' redirect for both Open and Private Exchange. |
New Parameter on Entry URL | fc=1 will be added to the entry link. Do not include in hmac calculation. See Securing Entry Links |
Administration Portal Look and Feel | Documentation will be made accessible to help navigate the new reports and terminology. |
Administration Portal Credentials | A new password will be issued for your YourSurveys admin portal username. Your new password will be provided to you on the date of migration. |
Routed Survey Pricing & Guaranteed Payout | Users sent by an API integrated supplier utilizing internal and/or external routing, will be allowed to earn a payout amount higher than the target survey payout for a routed session. Users will receive the payout according to the study they completed. Users will only be routed to surveys with the same CPI or higher within a session. Previously, a user could only receive the payout based on the initial survey that started the session with, regardless of if they completed a survey that had a higher payout. |
Respondent Experience | To help improve respondent experience and eliminate duplicated questions/processes, some pre-survey journeys have been removed. • Open End Security questions (I.e. what superpower would you want) • Double consent pages – users will only be presented with one consent page instead of two • Pre-survey profiling will be reduced to only what is required to qualify for a survey |
